If you are here reading this you probably have heard that video is something you need to efficiently market your business. If you've seen the statistics you would know, using video on your website will increase sales conversions by 86%. But you may be wondering, where do I get started and what video strategy should I use? Luckily here at Ambit Productions we can guide you through the process, and make you the 3 videos you need.
What's your story?
Whatever industry you are in, a customer goes through somewhat of a journey before buying from or hiring you. What's great is that you can more efficiently guide them through that journey with video. So where do we get started? The first thing you need to do is capture your customers attention! If no one know knows who you are, they will never come to you for your product or service. For that reason, the first video we need to make is a brand video that will be used to create awareness. It's an opportunity to tell your story and how you can fulfill the need of your customer. There are many ways we can do this. You could tell your origin story, demo your product or service in action, highlight you company values, show off company culture, or tell an inspirational story related to your business. The list goes on. The bottom line and soul purpose is to create awareness and let people know you are here. You don't need to worry too much about all the little details, you just need to strike a cord of interest in your potential customer to learn more. If this video does nothing more than get your audience to feel something, than its a success. People remember things that they feel.
Below is an example video intended to capture attention using excitement and inspiration.
In this next approach the owner of this business captures attention by telling his story and highlighting his company values.
How to bring them in closer.
Now that we have captured the interest of a potential customer we can spend more time educating them about more details or different aspects of our product or service. They have turned in your direction and they want to learn facts, gain understanding, and just know more about how you can be a benefit to them. They have already learned the who, now they need to learn the why. In the below example, Northern Jet Management explains details about their maintenance program, giving an answer to the why.
Social Validation
Now that your potential customer knows the who, and the why, they need a reason to seal the deal and actually work with you. A great way to do this if they aren't already convinced, is to create a testimonial video. The social validation that comes from a happy customer often times is all it takes to help your potential customer complete the buying journey with you. Hearing satisfied customers talk about their experience builds confidence that your interested customer will also be satisfied. You can do this by interviewing customers or employees or you can tell a success story.
The below example tells a story of success from a real client
In this example employees tell why they are happy with their employer.
With a brand video to create awareness, an explainer video to illustrate the why, and a testimonial video to show social validation, you will have the upper hand and competitive edge needed to convert potential customers into real satisfied clients!
